The National Pro Fastpitch 2010 draft was held last night, noteably missing any representation from our Philly Force. I am sad to ask that even if the Force organization does pull itself together, really what kind of team will be fielded? With veteran players moving on in their lives, top stars signing with other NPF teams and missing out on the talent pool of the draft, I really don’t see a quality team out there this summer.
Great times in 09… Not too hopeful for 10.

I was at 1 game in 2009 (maybe July 12) and enjoyed it even though a few of the best players on the Force roster weren’t there. It was something different to do while the Pigs were on the road. I probably would have gone a few more times in 2010.
I believe I was at that same game. Jennie Finch pitched a perfect game if my memory is correct. It was really a great time and although a little more expensive than the Pigs… it was a lot more personal. I don’t ever recall a single Ironpig inviting me out for a drink after a game, no less the whole team. The Force is a lot prettier too!
Now you made me go back and check because I know I didn’t see a perfect game and I KNOW I didn’t see Jenny Finch. I saw the Akron Racers and their star player was Crystl Bustos, the big power hitter from Team USA in the previous summer olympics. I sat with 2 older ladies on the third base side who said they used to play softball for the Patriots years ago. They were Force season ticket holders.
The game I attended was June 16/17 timeframe.

It was a great showing. I was thinking it was the first series of the year but I could be mistaken.
