Just bought my first of hopefully 3 or 4 “Cheaper by the Dozen” ticket books.
It’s a shame that the Ironpigs don’t offer this, because it’s a nice deal. For $54, you can get a coupon book which has general reserve admission for 12 games (they even throw in 2 passes for opening day as a bonus). That works out to be $4.50 a game. Really can’t ask for a professional game to be cheaper than that. For the lightly attended games (rare in Reading), I end up sitting behind the dugout by the 3rd inning, and at worst, usually find a way to grab a seat in the Red Reserved area, which is probably 15-20 rows off the field.
Should be a good year to watch baseball in Reading. Hope Brown sticks around for more than a month, but I’m afraid that’s all we’ll see of him.
When I heard the news of Strasburg being assigned to Harrisburg, that was the first thing I checked. Reading is at Harrisburg April 19, 20,21 and then the 3 games the following week at Reading. If we’re really lucky maybe SECTV-2 will pick up a game from Reading if Strasburg is scheduled to start. Don’t overlook the fact that Drew Storen was also assigned to Harrisburg. He’s another who shouldn’t spend much time in the minors.
