Ok yeah, having fun with the title tonight. There is a streak going on and it is two games in a row entered in as a win for the Ironpigs! It matches their previous streak of two games earlier in the season.
What can we say about Scott Mathieson… really. This guy is throwing hard and mixing up his pitches. I hear the Phillies are trying to get him to infuse a curveball more often as their given reason why he hasn’t been promoted yet.
Mathieson recorded his 8th save and his ERA is now 0.76.

What a difference 2 weeks makes. When the Columbus Clippers won 3 of 4 at Coca-Cola Park earlier this month they had Trevor Crowe, Jason Donald, Carlos Santana and Shelley Duncan hitting 1, 2, 3 and 4. Now, as the Ironpigs prepare for a 4 game series in Columbus, Crowe, Donald and Duncan are all with the Cleveland Indians. It shouldn’t be too much longer until Santana (.313-10-40) joins them. When that happens it could bounce Marson back down to AAA.
