Phillies Release Tavares

The Ironpig’s updated roster was just sent out and Willy Tavares is not on it. The team announced that the Phillies have released him.

      Not likely with the addition of Aguila from Toronto. The outfield now has Mayberry, Brown, Aquila and Duffy.

        since the roster isn’t on the website yet — how many players are the pigs playing with? 23 including happ?

        I’m going to wear my jersey tonight, so if they need me I’ll be in section 209. I don’t hit well, but I make up for it with my lack of speed and poor fielding skills.

        Seems like we need another middle infielder–Ransom at short tonight? Will he be angry that he didn’t get the call for Polanco?

    According to the Pigs website, Taveras is still on the roster.

    Tavares released by Philadelphia Phillies on behalf of AAA Lehigh Valley IronPigs on 6/28 per International League official website.
