For those who have never attended an Ironpig’s game at Coca Cola Park.. .this video (compliments of George Kordalski) sums it up.
For those wondering, average per game attendance in 2010 – 9,075
Enjoy!

Reminds me of a Steelers game… 🙂
Does it rain in the club level? 🙂
Well, it’s certainly not as bad. A little crowded, but not nearly as bad as what you describe. It becomes really hard to get near the bar…
Seriously, though, I remember getting pinned down in the Majestic Clubhouse Store during DiceK #1 in 2008 ( I had seats in 102 that night). Not so much rude behaviour as just couldn’t move. Two small kids with me that night, too.
I’ve been trying to think of a solution. I came up with two ideas:
1. build an awning or roof over the courtyard behind the pizza stand–maybe expand it. Folks could get some respite from the crowd out there.
2. Build some kind of undercover deck near the playground, behind the third base line. It would have to be down or up a bit, probably, and could possibly be used as an additional party porch, but could get folks undercover without being in the concourse.
Now, both ideas include the word ‘build.’ That’s probably not a good sign. I don’t know. What else could be done? I’ve also been trying to think of a way to add an upper deck (400 level, anyone?). But I doubt that would help much during rain.
If I look really close I can see me! Now I can tell everyone I’m on youtube.
I was at Dice K #1, too. Thanks for the memory…
I agree with the thought that it is not so much people being rude anywhere near as much as there is just only so much room to go around and that’s the way it is… (for now).
