He was designated today to make room for newly aquired 1st baseman Mike Sweeney.
With a slew of infielders now on the Ironpigs… I wonder where Ransom would fit. It is expected that he returns but as we found out earlier in the season.. he’s no right-fielder.
We’ll see…
OinK!

Hopefully they release Bocock.
He obviously cannot hit AAA pitching.
Bocock has improved significantly the past few weeks. He has 9 home runs his entire career with 4 of them with the Pigs this season. Sure, he started out terribly but has been doing much better since.
Among International League shortstops who have played at least 50 games, Brian Bocock’s .982 fielding percentage ranks 1st. Bocock is not here for his bat. He’s here for his glove and he is without a doubt the “defensive” MVP of the 2010 Lehigh Valley Ironpigs.
No question that Bocock is fantastic on defense.
As for his offense, while he is better he is still not a AAA caliber hitter.
Although the team as a whole is an embarrassment and it really doesn’t matter who is kept and who is held on to.
They are a bunch of mostly old farts that are not major league caliber and are just going thru the motions looking to collect a paycheck on an uncompetitive team that is consistently outplayed, outcoached, and outhustled.
Woo Hoo!
Fire!
(boom, boom, boom)
He hits home runs at a record pace, he gets kicked out of International League games with frightening regularity…
…he is…
…The Renegade, Cody Ransom :
Making his way the only way he knows how
That’s just a little bit more than the umpires allow
