Transactions 11/4/10

Finally some news out of the minor league baseball world!!

Justin Lehr re-signed with the Reds organization as did former Phillie farmhand Mike Constanzo.

Paul Hoover was granted free agency and also removed from the Phillies 40 man roster.

The Yankees made a trade with Cleveland for Kerry Wood. Might see him in Scranton next year.

That’s all for now. If you hear any more.. feel free to note in comments.

OinK!

    Very interesting….

  2. Thought y’all would want to see this:

  3. You’re a little late on K. Wood, sarge… he was in a couple of games with the Yanks in postseason. Then the Yanks declined on his option (along with Lance Berkman and Nick Johnson), so he’s back in the pool.

“The Yankees made a trade with Cleveland for Kerry Wood. Might see him in Scranton next year.”

Like R.D. said Wood was a trade deadline deal on 07/31/10 and the Indians picked up his contract so they Yankees spent $0 on him other than the two prsopects they sent to Cleveland.

Wood’s got as much chance to be in Scranton next year as you or I do.

There’s talk of him going back to Chicago as their closer except for the minor detail of the Cubs already having Marmol.

There’s also a chance that the Yankees bring him back in the 8th inning role next year as he was stellar this year for them going 2-0 0.69 in 24 games.

Here’s a guy you’ll see playing either SS or 2B for Reading or LV in ’11.
