Ozzie Chavez, who hit .219 in 55 games with the Ironpigs last season, signed with the Chicago White Sox.
Chavez and shortstop Brian Bocock centered a shaky Ironpig infield last year turning 44 double plays for the 2010 season.
OinK!

I don’t know if I could stand the excitement if Ozzie Chavez ends up playing for Joe McEwing with the Charlotte Knights.
Well, I always preferred Mel Dorta anyway. Didn’t Chavez have his “best game ever” on Andy Tracy’s bobblehead night? Funny how I remember weird stuff like that…
..and old Mel is still available, right? A guy can only hope.
(note: the above post contains some degree of sarcasm, although not completely)
Nate Robertson signed with the Seattle Mariners. He started 2 games in August for the Ironpigs last year. The Mets also dfa’d pitcher Tobi Stoner and outfielder Jason Pridie to make room on the 40 man roster for their newly signed free agents. I liked Pridie when he was playing centerfield for Rochester in 2008-2009. Stoner is 26, Pridie is 27.
