In the past few days we have seen some transactions of former Ironpigs…
Paul Hoover has signed with the Red Sox
Ryan Vogelsong has signed with the Giants
Rodrigo Lopez has signed with the Braves
Ty Taubenheim signed with the Rangers
Greg Dobbs has signed with the Marlins.
Those pesky Marlins have snatched another former Phillie farmhand.
OinK!

Im a little sad to see Hoover go!
But at least we’re glad to see them get work! Hoov and Rod, particularly… π
GREG DOBBS=WES HELMS I think he might beat us in a game this year, Dobbs is an amazing hitter, when you see him swing you think he will hit 400, i find it strange he didn’t even hit 200 last year
So Hoover likely joins the Pawtucket Red Sox and returns to Coca-Cola Park for Ryne Sandberg Bobblehead night on the 26th of April.
I was surprised that the Phillies and Hoover could not come to terms…interesting..?
Add Willy Tavares – Signed with the Rockies
That’s Willy’s 2nd go round with Colorado and his 5th team since the start of the 2010 season (Washington, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Texas, Colorado) . I guess the Rockies need some depth at AAA since 2 of their AAA outfielders from last year are now in the Phillies organization.
It’s not exactly a suprise that Vogelsong left.
The Phillies cut him last year during the season and then he signed with the Angels for the remainder of the season in AAA.
