Former Ironpig David Newhan is back in baseball. Suffering a broken neck while surfing after the 2009 season, Newhan has signed with the San Diego Padres organization trying to make a comeback. At 37 years old, most career minor leaguers would have long been retired, but it looks like Newhan wants to prove he can still play.
We remember his days in the Lehigh Valley. Signed as a player/coach, Newhan knocked down one of our K’s from the OINK sign with a long homerun and cemented himself in the memory of the Noise Nation.

Good luck David!!
