Wow i wonder if this has anything to do with why he was doing so well. And is tagg actually health cause i know he was injured?
Very disappointing, but as stated, I guess that is why he was doing so well compared to his previous years. Hopefully the Phillies organization just releases him. We don’t need his kind(like A-Roid) in this organization.
Pablo Ozuna was released after his 50 game suspension back in 2009. I doubt they can release a player while he’s serving a suspension but I’m not sure.
You are correct that he cannot be released while serving the suspension.
But just like Ozuna look for the Phils to activate him and then promptly release him after the 50.
I think Bozied was healthy and just waiting for a roster spot to open up.
He tested positive for Ritalinic Acid, which is caused by using the drug Ritalin. Ritalin, when misused, can be highly addictive as a stimulent and/or upper.
Which is funny because there are a lot of MLB players on Ritalin or some offshoot of it. The difference is that they pay to get a crooked doctor to sign off on it so that the league will nod and wink and accept that they need to be taking it.
I guess Frandsen wasn’t so lucky.
On a more positive note, batting 7th tonight and playing first base, Tagg Bozied.
Barfield, 2B
Sullivan, CF
Brown, RF
Belliard, 3B
Young, LF
Moss, DH
Bozied, 1B
Kratz, C
Bocock, SS
Agree with everything you said Lefty33. But Frandsen, like all players, know the rules, and since he is a minor league player, he should have been extra careful, as should all minor leaguers. No one is looking the other way for them. Unless MLB made a mistake and withdraws the suspension, looks like he is guilty…
LaFrandsen est morte.
It makes me wonder what will happen when Utley comes back to the Phillies lineup. We will probably get Orr back and then who will end up with “turf toe?” lol
Oooooo … I’ve got a nasty feeling somebody’s just stepped squarely into the path of a charging Ryno. This ain’t gonna be pretty….
Made far more embarrasskin’ by the fact that KF was leading the club in batting average… much like Trace at the beginning of the year.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say the Phillies keep Frandsen around after the 50 game suspension. Pablo Ozuna was found to have elevated levels of testosterone which can increase muscle and bone mass while Frandsen tested positive for Ritalin, an amphetamine that enhances your alertness. Both are banned substances but in my mind one seems to be more of a performance enhancing drug than the other.
Feel free to disagree.
