Ironpigs Take Down SWB to Move Into First Place!

The Pigs played well as a team tonight and they was no clear cut individual effort tonight as the Pigs beat the SWB Yankees 7 to 3.

Looking good team! Looking real good!

Hopefully they can put some distance between themselves and SWB with 3 more games to go up in Moosic, PA.

Tomorrow is an early game, a 10:35am start so be sure to have your radio handy in the morning.

  1. I was happy to see Service Electric picked up the Blue Ridge telecast and had it on dial #50. I discovered the telecast just in time to see Bozied’s HR. I think the Thurs/Fri games are going to be on as well. Their color analyst sounds a little like Bullwinkle.
How can Vazquez and Maxwell have so many homers already? They have 16 and 13 and next on the Yankee team is Golson with 3. No pitcher on their team has more than 2 wins but they have 8 pitchers with 2. Lance Pendleton will try to become #9 tomorrow morning when he goes up against Nate Bump. It will only be his second start this year and he hasn’t thrown more than 3 innings in any game this year. He’s another in the long line of Tommy John survivors.
Seven games over .500 for the first time, and 12-6 on the road. I think I like it.

Next time the Pigs get the dozen will be the last time we do the Philly Pretzel Dozen—-but do not fear we will be coming out with something new!! ALSO—I MISS THE CENTERFIELD GANG—-, but i definitely understand—now everyone can enjoy the games with no headaches—see everyone Saturday

That virtual road-trip chat stuff is sheer genius — so much better than listening to the game solo…

…always a good problem to have — multiple candidates deserving of a game MVP award for IronPigs!

Rich Thompson had a fine game, Dom Brown had a couple key RBI, and Michael Schwimer closed out the game quite nicely with some strikeouts.

Those would be my three stars if this were ice hockey.

Delwyn Young and the Brother Elephant Bozied bashed long balls for the IronPigs, it shall also be noted here.
