It was one of those games that parents like. Most of the action happened early and by bedtime the Pigs had the game in hand.
Pete Orr was a triple short of the cycle.
Josh Fields was a Home run short of the cycle.
In fact, the IronPigs sprinted out three 3 baggers tonight. Along with Fields, Hernandez and Asche were waved around second by manager Brundage.
Pigs win 14-5 and Justin Friend was awarded the win albeit pitching only 1.2 innings and allowing a grand slam to Rochester’s Colabello.

Getting a lot of late game reports that Josh Fields was seen with bags packed and getting hugs and congrats from his teammates. (@jschulermc)
No comments being tossed about as the status of Ryan Howard, is going or is not going, to the DL remains a mystery.
Who could have even thought Fields was a candidate to be called up? Yeah, honka honka… we did. Check yesterday’s post. (As I received a lot of grief for that via email following the post, I’ll stand and wave for this one)
Until tomorrow…
OinK!
