Pigs lost another 1 run game. Not really news there.
Rich Thompson did extend his hitting streak to 11 games. The current Ironpig streak record is held by Mike Cervenak at 18 games.
DeWayne Wise hit his league leading 5th triple.
Brian Bocock had a 2 hit night! Holy cow!
Bump and Wasserman each gave up a run with Wasserman taking the loss. He is now 0-3 and being 0-3 this early in the season is a bad bad thing.
Tomorrow is another day and the Ironpigs travel to Gwinnett tomorrow.

Wasserman doesn’t impress me. He’s one I think they should release, but I know its not up to me though.
Happy for Bocock, Wise and Thompson though !
Looking at AccuWeather, the team’ll be travelling through areas predicted for strong storms Friday, but they might miss Georgia…
You guys should do a poll :
How many say it is okay to stuff the ballot box to show support for the home team and its players
OR
How many say stuffing the ballot box is classless
I would be curious to see how bad supporting the home team gets pounded in the poll

ehh, Bocock quote supposed to be above snarky comment above…
Aroldis Chapman is scheduled to pitch tonight for Louisville. That means his next scheduled start would tentatively be Wednesday the 19th at Coca-Cola Park.
Yeah, I saw that. Unfortunately, I have another commitment and can’t make the game. I still haven’t given away my tickets, though…
Did anyone else notice that Gustavo Chacin threw 2 scoreless innings for the Astros on May 7? It was his first appearance in a major league game since April 28, 2007. That Baseball America blog also says the Washington Nationals signed Joe Bisenius.
Maybe Bisenius can pitch for AAA Syracuse
🙂
