Bastardo Up, Concepcion Off DL, Tracy Pulls Self From Game

As the Phillies pulled Bastardo back to their roster, the Pigs will activate Concepcion off of the DL.

Also of note.. Andy Tracy pulled himself from last night’s game after 1 at bat. Hitting around .200 all season, you can say slow starter all you want, this move makes any fan worried.. looking back a few number of years when John Kruk retired mid-game to end his career really makes me say Hmmm. I don’t see Andy leaving any time soon but this cannot be a good sign.

Think Andy Tracy is getting frustrated and may decide to retire from the game ? Its understandable, after 14 years of service.

I’m still trying to find a silver lining: Nice writeup on Chris Duffy in this morning’s paper:

    I don’t think he’s the bad apple…

Vogelsong is a reliever ? what did I miss and who replaced him in the starting rotation ? Thanks !

looks like Duckworth gets the start tomorrow. Can’t really fault Huppert for trying some stuff: give Ducky a start, move Tracy to the three hole. Now, if someone would just walk up and kick Bocock in his Velendia, well, we might have something.

      • He’s a good shortstop.. I wonder if he’ll go below .100 this season?

        I know. But Mazone’s out-hitting him at this juncture… 😉

  3. Spotted in the papers: our ol’ buddy Cedrick Bowers called up to the Ahthaletics.

And, Jo-Jo Reyes, who started the other day in rehab for the Gwins, stays there despite being off the DL…no room on the big club.
