Travis Wood of the Louisville Bats was listed as a pitcher on the International League allstar team. He’s pitching a 1 hitter through 6 innings for the Cincinnati Reds today against the Cubs. Looks like he may be staying in the majors so the IL may be looking for a pitcher to take his place.
Nice to see Alex Gordon on the PCL starting team. The guy who KC dubbed as the next George Brett is still only 26.
That PCL starting lineup is impressive. Of course the PCL is widely known to be a hitters league.

Also, Brett Wallace is a reserve on the PCL team. He is the guy the Toronto Blue Jays acquired from Oakland in exchange for Michael Taylor.
I should have also mentioned that Travis Wood pitched the first 8 innings of that 16 inning game at Coca-Cola Park back on May 18th. He allowed 2 hits over 8 innings and had 11 K’s.
The Cardinals called up Tyler Greene today. He started at 2nd base tonight and homered in the 5th inning.
