What an extensive list of free agents. I wonder how many of them will be back. Not to many, I’m sure.

  2. According to mlbtraderumors.com the Phillies have signed Pete Orr. Orr hit .264 with 12 homers and 25 stolen bases for Syracuse in 2010 and played 2nd, 3rd, SS, and all 3 outfield positions. He’s a left handed hitter who will turn 32 in June.

South Park Watchers be advised :

    Orr is Canadian.

Represented the Maple Leaf at the 2009 World Baseball Classic.

  4. Also filing for free agency this past week was Jeff Frazier. He’s a NJ native, a member of the Toms River 1995 Little League World Series team, 2001 NJ high school player of the year, played college ball at Rutgers and was a 3rd round draft pick (73rd overall) of the Tigers in 2004. Frazier is 28 and hit 25 homers for Toledo last year. Jeff was also a participant in the AAA homerun derby at Coca-Cola Park and was the International Leagues starting left fielder in the allstar game. He had a nice group of family members sitting in section 109 who witnessed Jeff hit a homer on June 10th when the Mud Hens came to town this year. I wonder if he’d be interested in playing closer to home in 2011?
