Ironpig Brian Gordon has re-signed with the Phillies on a minor league contract.
He had a 3.46 ERA in 78 innings with the Ironpigs in 2010.
OinK!

That’s a good signing. I was hoping he’d sign with the Phillies again. He always seemed to do well in the middle relief role—good control with 86 strikeouts in his 78 innings pitched while allowing just 2 homeruns. Gordon is the guy who was tutored by Nolan Ryan when he made the switch from outfielder to pitcher. He had hit 118 homers in the minors as an outfielder before converting to pitching. 2011 is off to a good start.
