Who’s in Minor League Camp for the Phillies?

Full credit for this list goes to our friends over at the Phuture Phillies blog.

Below is the division of workout groups for the Phillies minor leaguers in spring training. I saw a few familiar names. Most of the Ironpigs 2011 lineup is still with the Phillies camp at the moment. I find myself looking at these names like the beginning of the Major League movie:

“Who are these #%$@ guys?”

Enjoy!

When you get down to the group 4 players you’ll find a bunch of youngsters from the Dominican Summer League and Gulf Coast rookie league so the names are familiar to few. Most of them are in the 19-21 age group.
There are several top draft picks in group 3, Biddle, Dugan, Hewitt, in addition to the highly touted Jonathan Singleton.
These groups will likely expand within the next 4-5 days as guys on the 40 man roster and minor leaguers invited to Phillies camp begin to get sent down.
BTW, Jeff Larish hit a homer vs. the Tigers (his former team) on Wednesday.

That’s why YOU guys are here…

…to tell the legions of IronPigs everywhere who the hell these guys are!

    • Ha! I wish I had the time and resources to dedicate to do that. Two notes I have though are Savery being listed as an infielder and the Chris Duffy is the Chris Duffy who was drafted this year, not the former Ironpig.
