Opening Day! It’s only… a day awaaaaaaay!
Yeah, when I was 5 I was forced into watching the movie/musical “Annie”. I wasn’t too fond of it then. Things haven’t changed for me since.
So tomorrow is the big day. Seeing reports of a Hot Air balloon ride raffle. That would be cool, unless we have the same winds we had last night.
The first 3,000 fans will get the Service Electric Stadium replica. (Get there early!)
Also, there will be 2 Ironpigs signing autographs pregame on the concourse. Not sure who or where but have your sharpie close by.
I’m ready for the season to begin. This is what we’ve been waiting for since the end of last season.
That’s all I have tonight.
OinK!

Aren’t autographs usually held third-base side by the restrooms? That’s where I saw Larry Holmes during the All-Star break…
Of course, my daffy family won’t arrive early for the Picnic Patio food…
They are having player signings? Oh wow….that’s new. That’s usually a Monday night thing. When they do that, it ususlly over past the club level entrance.
BASEBALL is back ladies and gents!!! I’m soooo excited. Hopefully the weather is warmer then last night. I’m now off to go check out wfmz.com to see what their weather reports say. lol
Annie? Age five? Okay now I’m feeling old. When I was 5 I was watching Annette on the Mickey Mouse Club and Howdy Doody. And if there’s anyone else in my age bracket, remember Bertie the Bunyip? I guess I’m really old. As Groucho Marx used to say, “time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana”. Where have all the good times gone?
According to the Ironpigs news article on their homepage the autograph session will be on the main concourse, behind homeplate. Also, houseband “Shake, Rattle & Pork Roll” are scheduled to start playing at 5:30. Gates open onto concourse at 5:45.
For those traveling from the south and west keep in mind that roadwork on Hanover Avenue began (again) last week between the Lehigh River Bridge and Irving Street so many PM rush hour travelers will likely be using Tilghman St/Union Blvd. as an alternative route. Expect delays if you use these routes to get to Coca-Cola Park. The construction is expected to last at least 3 months.
Evidence:
1. Meet the Players. A good idea. I read that it would be 6:00-6:20 behind 112 (usual Monday location).
2. Diggity’s cheating tendencies pointed out on Tuesday’s video.
3. Game notes posted early on Tuesday on the website.
Be careful what you wish for….
