Gordon Starts a Trend

Brian Gordon signing with the Yankees started a flood of players to be lost.

Belliard retires.

Orr has a baby.

Bump leaves game injured.

Also heard Shoeless Eddie Bonine is expected to have Tommy John surgery.

Exactly how good IS the R-Phils starting pitching staff?

Looks like we will be seeing Les Walrond again. Can you also say Brian Mazone one more time? LOL!!

  3. What I would do:
    1) Move Drew Carpenter back to the starting rotation.
    2) Promote Ryan Edell from Reading. He is an experienced LH starting pitcher and is 5-1 3.50 this year after going 11-5 last year. He’s almost 28.
    3) Promote Justin De Fratus to replace Carpenter in the bullpen.

I also wouldn’t mind getting Derrick Loop from Clearwater and I’d prefer him over Walrond at this point. Let Walrond start a few games at Reading.

Unfortunately it looks like Worley may be back with the Phillies this weekend to pitch on Saturday vs. Seattle. Maybe someone will opt out from another team and sign with the Phillies organization.
