Rich Thompson Passes Tracy to Become All-Time IronPig Hit Leader

Thanks to our friend CSPigsFan, he notified us that Rich Thompson has become the All Time IronPig’s hit leader!

Thompson, who now has 361 hits for the Pigs, passed Andy Tracy recently who had 356 hits.

Thompson is also looking to break the single season records for Stolen bases and Hit by pitches. He needs 3 SB’s from breaking his own record of 28 Stolen bases and needs one more to break the single season HBP set at 9.

OinK!

If he sets the record for HBP, do they buy him body armour?

  2. I think it’s time that he gets a bobble, no?

He’s having a really good year, I think. His game melds well with Sandberg’s more agressive approach. I only wish I’d voted for him more times for the all-star team. He deserves the recognition.

He also deserves a call-up–as soon as the AAA playoffs are over.

He should have no problem breaking those records as long as he stays healthy and remains a “Pig”.

New question: Does anyone know who the IronPigs all-time strikeout leader is? Brian Mazone? Also, where does Les Walrond stand in that list? Are the ‘Pigs all-time stats posted anywhere online?

Excellent! Thank you very much. I’m glad I didn’t bet on that one. I totally forgot about Drew being around long enough to amass that total.
