Tonight was the long anticipated AAA All Star game in Salt Lake City, Utah. It seems like just yesterday we were excited about the announcement of the 2010 All Star game being held here in our town. Now it’s a year in the past.
For our little piggies:
Erik Kratz went 0 for 2.
Michael Schwimer got to throw 3 pitches as he ended the 8th inning with a double play grounder.
Mike Zagurski came on to get two quick outs in the 9th and that’s all she wrote.. International League defeats the Pacific Coast league by a score of 3-0.
See you tomorrow at the doubleheader. Don’t forget it starts an hour earlier and I hear rumors of a real live stagecoach and some horses being there. Looking back at the mounted color guard a few weeks back I’d recommend that Rich Thompson watch his step in centerfield. π
OinK!

AND, it’s a white-out tomorrow, so wear your whites!!
Stagecoach and horses? Wells Fargo is a team sponsor… they haven’t made a lot of noise this year…
Only thing with whites is it’s possibly easier to remove stains from them… tho I have what look like rust spots on some of my Ts that even a good stain remover doesn’t do much for…
As of last night it looked like Schwimer’s twitter account was still being hacked. There was a spam tweet posted under his account just as he was coming in to pitch in the all star game. The spam tweets appear to be gone today so hopefully it’s been fixed.
Ironpigs e-mail today says Ironpigs in first place with Pawtucket 3.5 back, Scranton is 4.5 games back with the 38-50 Syracuse Chiefs in “3rd place”. Huh????? Someone may not do so well on “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader”.
1. Ironpigs
2. Red Sox -3.5
3. Yankees -4.5
4. Chiefs -14
