The Pigs seemed happy tonight as they took down Toledo by a final score of 6-2.
The Pigs got on the board early and often scoring runs in the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th & 7th innings. Barfield and Kratz had multi hit games.
Ryan Edell started and pitched a gem! He went 7 innings allowing only 3 hits, walking 1 and striking out 7. Drew Carpenter pitched a nice inning in relief and although allowing a late 2 run monster HR in the 9th, Juan Perez closed out the game.

Some other notes… looking back on some reader suggestions I noticed tonight some of them being implemented at The Coke. There are IronPig water bottles now available for sale (able to bring them into the park and fill with water) and also saw a pitch count on the bullpen sign more often than I ever remember seeing. Many thanks to the IronPig’s staff for looking out for us and helping make the IronPig experience a better one!

Kudos to the IronPigs staff!! They do listen to fans’ suggestions!! Thank you!
Water bottle is a great idea! Now we can have water fights! Wet T-Shirt contest anyone?
Nice small ball tonight. Couple grounders to right side to move runners to third, then sac flies. And capitalizing, scoring two runs after blown double play which would have ended the inning…
UGH! Pawtucket down 1, 2 outs and one on and they end up scoring 3 runs. But with Gwinnett losing the game, Pigs up 1 1/2 games in Wild Card. If they can reel off wins in the next couple of days, they will pick up ground on Pawtucket or Gwinnett.
