Headed towards Basin Street railroad underpass only to find the road closed due to flooding and bumper to bumper traffic at Auburn St. Turned around and headed across the Susquehanna St. bridge & traffic stopped on 5th St. near Good Shepherd. Drove through partially flooded roads by Trout Creek and made a right turn where Mack Blvd. becomes 8th street. Crossed the 8th Street (Alburtus Myers) Bridge (right lane was flooded) & continued all the way to Gordon Street. Turned right on Gordon then left on Front Street by the old Neuweiler’s Brewery. Right hand turn across the Tilghman Street Bridge only to hear the game was postponed on AM 1320 just as I arrived in the parking lot at Coca-Cola Park. A drive that normally takes less than 15 minutes took me 45 today. Stopped & filled my gas tank, bought a steak sandwich & pizza before heading home. Hopefully I’ll be trying again on Thursday. I have a minor surgical procedure scheduled in the doctor’s office tomorrow and I’m hoping the recovery time is brief. I don’t really want to be watching the first playoff game in Ironpigs history from my living room on TV 2 but I’m thankful that option is available just in case.
