First to Free Agency – Taking Apart the 2011 Team

Posted on his Facebook status, Jeff Larish announced (possibly as informal as it can get) that he is now a free agent.

Before his disastrous slide into home plate resulting in a season ending broken leg Larish hit .240 with 13 HR and 37 RBI in 75 games for the IronPigs.

He is the first 2011 IronPig to go.. who’ll be next?

You’re slightly over reacting to his status.

Of course he’s a FA. Just like Rich Thompson is a FA, just like Andy Tracy was a FA each year and so on.

He’s a six year FA that is only being signed year to year just like Thompson, Sardhina, Kratz (after the playoffs), etc.

Larish very easily could be resigned come December or January just like the Phillies and everyteam does around that time of the year when they fill their AAA rosters with AAAA players.
