The Scranton WB Yankees will not be a part of the International League this year… Instead the Yankees AAA team will be known as the Empire State Yankees.
Knowing they will play most of their home games in NY state is does seem appropriate and also the opportunity to create and sell more team gear.

No problem for SECTV. “EMP” will probably be their abbreviation of choice; “EAS”, not “EST” is what they use for Easton (high school), for instance. No word yet on if/which 3A Yanks games from the upstate cities will be piped to BRC/the SECTVs/etc.
Now I will definitely have to put a red circle with a diagonal line through it onto my Scranton Wilkes-Barre t-shirt that I won in a contest on Noise Nation last year. 🙂
