Twitter is abuzz with the news that left hander Joe Savery will be called up to the Phillies tomorrow. He will be filling the void left by John Lannan who was placed on the disabled list.
Savery has been great for the IronPigs so far this season with a 1-0 record allowing no runs on 2 hits in 7.2 innings over 5 games.
The Pig’s bullpen will miss him greatly.
I suspect he will be replaced on the Pig’s roster by someone from the Reading team.
Looking at the relievers we see JC Ramirez who is almost identical in work this spring. 1-0 with no runs on 2 hits in 7 innings.
Ramirez is my best guess.
Austin Wright is my wild card maybe guess.
Also on the radar, (thanks to Cheryl for mentioning), is the potential for a Delmon Young rehab assignment.
Normally, early rehabs are done in the warmer Florida climate and with the Pigs on the road save the next four days… I don’t think it is likely to happen but it IS possible.
Until tomorrow!
OinK!

Robles in the equation is think.
I guess you can rule out Tom Cochran joining the Ironpigs since he is scheduled to start for Reading on Friday, his first appearance of 2013.
Robles or Ramirez seem to make the most sense, but considering this is the Phillies, it will probably be Suomi.
