I think Cochran was originally scheduled to pitch for Reading on Thursday but they used him in relief for 2 innings today and he got tagged with the loss. I guess they wanted him to get in a little work before his start with the Ironpigs.
Yeah, plus it’s cheaper than having to drive him to Indy/Lou this past road trip. Miner and Jimenez did a fine job holding down that starter spot, but they’ll be even better assets coming out of the pen.
