Just an FYI, Jonathan Roof is the son of Gene Roof, a former ballplayer in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. Gene had a cup of coffee in the bigs back in the early 80’s and later spent 3 years managing the Toledo Mud Hens. Jonathan’s uncle Phil Roof was a pretty darn good big league catcher. Not much of a hitter but he was excellent behind the plate. He played in parts of 15 different big league seasons
